Solutions Inc. (MSI) is dedicated to providing simple process
solutions to a variety of industry groups. The proprietary
MSI segmental compression mechanism provides an even, repeatable
radial compression that has been proven for stent crimping
and balloon folding applications. MSI has been instrumental
in automating or semi-automating a number manual process procedures
in the catheter processing and medical device industry.
We are currently exploring niche applications in microelectronics,
fiber optics, wire & cable, and consumer products industries.
Nearly any application that requires an even radial compression,
or the processing of shape memory alloys, could be ideally
suited to the patented MSI segmental compression equipment.

>> BALLOON BLOWING/FORMING
The MSI balloon blow molding machine features a highly flexible process control interface aiding in the rapid development of optimal balloon process parameters. By integrating greater heat controls and material handling, finished product will have improved qualities such as shaft, taper, and wall thickness. Equipment flexibility will allow operation with various materials as well as both metal and glass molds.
>> TUBE PROCESSING SYSTEMS
The MSI thermal shrinking systems are used during tubing processing to apply heat to a wide variety of delivery systems within the medical device industry including: stent delivery systems, guiding catheters, diagnostic catheters, urinary catheters and other braided or coiled catheter products. Our current product offering include the Vertical Shrinker/Laminator, Laser Bonding, Thermal (Hot) box and Distal/Proximal balloon tip bonder.
>> Device Coating
The MSI stent Device Coating equipment offers multiple spray options allowing for a highly focused, uniform coating process. The MSI equipment offers a one step process that eliminates an operator handling step and reduces cycle time. The MSI process is versatile across various polymer, solvent and drug combinations with options for abluminal only coating or abluminal and luminal coating. Equipment options include an automated stent handling system.
>> CATHETER & STENT TESTING
The MSI catheter & stent testing tools have an emphasis on improving repeatability while increasing accuracy and resolution in your testing environment. Current products include tools for measuring quantitatively analyzing catheter performance features and stent hoop force as well as providing contract testing services.
The MSI testing equipment was designed with several international testing standards in mind. These include: ASTM F2394-04 for preconditioning of the stent on the deployment system prior to retention testing, ISO Standard 25539-1:2003(E) Titled "Cardiovascular implants - Endovascular devices” and ISO/TS 15539:2000(E) Titled "Cardiovascular implants - endovascular prostheses”.
>> STENT CRIMPING
MSI is the industry leader in providing solutions for crimping DES, coated and bare stent and stent graft products. The proprietary MSI equipment features process controls and automation options that maximize operator efficiency while streamlining product handling and throughput. The MSI stent crimping equipment provides some of the most uniform and secure crimping technology available and a process that protects the surface integrity of the crimped stent and improves stent profiles and stent edge protection.
