The MSI BBM5100
provides the user an easy to use entry
level balloon blowing/forming platform
which is ideal for R&D applications
and low volume manufacturing. The BBM5100
is designed to blow/form plastic catheter
balloons from various types of extruded
polymer tubing. The equipment utilizes
glass molds which can be exchanged easily
during development or production and
can be configured to produce a wide variety
of balloon shapes and sizes.
The BBM5100 has three
independent axes of motion which are programmed
through the touch screen user interface.
The first axis controls the location of
the heater nozzle while the other two control
the tubing stretch distance.
